Boston area writer Meredith O'Brien is the author of four books, including a recent medical memoir, Uncomfortably Numb. She has been published in myriad publications including The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Huffington Post, Intima: A Journal of Narrative Nonfiction, the Avalon Literary Review, and STAT. She teaches creative nonfiction for Bay Path University's MFA program and journalism for Northeastern University.
